On Monday, Trixilie and I made ourselves comfortable: we had an indoor picnic. We laid down a blanket and a lot of pillows on the living room floor, put fresh fruits, vegetables and the left-over of the birthday-fruit-gateau on the blanket and took some books. I mean, I took the books and read a lot of fairytales out loud, fairytales I loved as a child and still love, inter alia: Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin. Trixilie listened very carefully the whole time.
In the evening, Trixilie and I recooked the mushroom-sauce from yesterday. This time we ate it with rice 😉
After the dinner we sat in bed with a lot of books and I read out loud again, because Trixilie liked the fairytales so much. So both of us really enjoyed Monday.
On Tuesday morning I was woken up by a sad little fairy. She snuggled up to my cheek and told me that she had dreamed about her family. Therefore I took some time for her and let her talk about her family. Unfortunately she became sadder and we decided to heal the homesickness. So we made a list of things Trixilie could do to get into a better mood. Therefore Trixilie thought about things, which she would advise me to do, if I were be homesick.
- Talk about who and what you are missing.
- Go out and explore the new environment.
- Do things you like to do.
- Try something new.
- Get to know new people / fairies.
- Look into the future and don´t look back into the past!
The result is a nice list and we wanted to try every point by and by.
On the morning we already had tried number 1. Therefore Trixilie didn´t like to talk too much about her homesickness. Quite the contrary: she smiled at me and said that she would see her family again when the book was finished. Then she could go from her own book to Berrytholdy and could see her family. So I promised to finish her book as soon as possible. Also she wished for a picture of her family in her book and so I promised to draw a family portrait for her book.
When she looked at the list, she noticed that she already had done number 6: look forward not back.
Totally encouraged by this she absolutely wanted to do number 2: to go out and discover a new environment. So we looked for a new park, went there and discovered everything. There she got to know new butterflies. She was doubly glad, because she fulfilled number 3 and 5.
We were in the park for quite a long time. When we were back at home both of us were really tired. After the dinner I wrote the last sentences of the blog post. At the same time Trixilie slept on my warmth-Teddy. The picture was dearest 🙂
So Tuesday ended really early 😉
Because Trixilie had fallen asleep very early on Tuesday, she woke up really early on Wednesday. At 5 o´clock in the morning I noticed a little fairy on my forehead. She tenderly stroked my forehead and hummed a lovely sounding melody which I had never heard. Therefore I woke up, of cause. I had barely opened my eyes, when she flow on my pillow and smiled at me. She is already cute 😉
Because I am a early bird, the early wake up didn´t disturb me and we made plans for the day. Trixilie was desperate to do number 4 of yesterday´s list: to do something new. I proposed to create a painting together. I had barely said it, when she pulled at my finger and wanted that I stand up 😉
On this morning our morning ritual “had” to go a bit faster 😉 I hurried up under the shower and Trixilie under the water jet in the washbasin. At breakfast we had oat cookies, raspberries and a glass of choco-almond-milk. Then we were ready to paint.
I collected together watercolour paper, paintbrushes, pens, acrylic paint and some old boxes of watercolours.
Then Trixilie and I started to paint. A result is these pictures and a really colourful Trixilie 😉
We had a really good time 😉
At breakfast, Trixilie wanted to hear the fairytale Rapunzel. While I read it to her, she made Rapunzel on her plate with some pieces of fruits and vegetables.
Little fairies are very creative 😉 She presented it full of pride and insisted that it has to be part of her book. So I drew Rapunzel´s face and will also draw some instructions 😉
On Friday I prepared some fruit-waters. I cut some strawberries in little pieces and placed them with some mint leaves into a glass carafe. Then I added cold water and left it to stand for about 1 hour. Trixilie observed it all with curiosity. Until then she had known how to eat fruits and vegetables, but not in water. Now, Trixilie tasted the fruit water and was surprised about the good taste.
Because she liked the fruit-water so much we created 5 variations of it.
You guessed it, of course, Trixilie would like to have this fruit-waters in her book. And of course not only as a picture, she want to have it with little instructions. Gradually, she begins to enjoy the mini-recipes 😉
Saturday and Sunday: 04 and 05/06/2016
I drew the whole weekend. Because Trixilie wanted to have her book as soon as possible.
Trixilie came up with a lot of things, so at least I have little breaks in-between drawing. On Saturday she made me laugh for example: After we came back from an after-lunch-walk, I sat down at the table and started to draw again. When the door bell rang, I opened the door and saw nobody at first. But then I looked down to the floor and saw a smiling little fairy. I just had to laugh. When I asked her why she had done this, she just said, that she had wanted to do something new and she had never rang at an apartment door…
As a souvenir we reproduced this scene and I took a photo of it. I am telling you, because since this little fairy is living by me, everyday is a little adventure 😉
To draw for the whole weekend was worth it. Indeed I had drawn some pictures from time to time, but this weekend I made some real progress: I drew one half of the book. But honestly, I was really exhausted – especially on Sunday.
Trixilie was involved in the drawing process for the whole time. She told me how all the places in the book had to look and which places and rooms she needs pictures of. Whilst I drew she jumped excitedly around or flew around with joy. Here are some drawings, sketches and drafts I drew:
Because I hadn´t so much time to cook, Trixilie and I had some “fast cuisine” – for example these fruit-mousses:
They were really delicious and a great break.
We´ll see when I can finish the book, because Trixilie gets new ideas again and again and I have to connect all pages into one book. It will be a lot of work to do it all. But it is a big joy and I really love doing it 🙂
Next week I will report again.
Trixilie and I wish you a great week.
We wish you a lot of fun.
P.S. from Trixilie: eat rainbows 🙂
