Blueberry Blackberry Jam

We couldn´t decide which berries we want to use for this jam… blueberries or blackberries. So we used both 😉


Blueberry Blackberry Jam:

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

Ingredients for 300ml:

300g of mixed blueberries and blackberries (we used 150g blueberries and 150g of blackberries)

1/2 apple

40ml of water

3 tbsp. of caster sugar (or non if you don´t like it sweet)

1 tbsp. of cornstarch

1 tsp. of coconut oil

Pinch of salt

Blueberry Blackberry Jam


  1. Peel and chop the apple half. Place the berries, apple and water in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the berry smoothie into a sauce pan. Add the sugar, cornstarch, coconut and salt. Place it on the cooker and cook on a medium heat. Stir constantly until the jam thickened (about 10 minutes).
  3. Pour the jam into a jar and allow to cool down.


Hint: The blueberry blackberry jam keeps well in a closed jar in the fridge for about 1-2 weeks. Remove the berry jam out of the fridge 15 minutes before eating.
