You like to celebrate Easter a bit smaller – just with an Easter breakfast and you need a green jam? What a coincidence that we have a great kiwi jam recipe for you 😉
You can see on the pictures we haven´t removed the little black kiwi seeds from the jam. It tastes really good with them. But if you want to remove them, put a sieve on the sauce pan (step 2) and pour the kiwi smoothie through the sieve (you probably have to use a tablespoon to press it through the sieve).
You can eat every bread with this kiwi jam or cakes or muffins or biscuits or… 😉
Kiwi Jam
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Ingredients for 300ml
3 kiwis
1/2 apple
40ml of water
3 tbsp. of caster sugar (or non if you don´t like it sweet)
1 tbsp. of cornstarch
1 tsp. of coconut oil
Pinch of salt
Preparation:
- Peel and chop the kiwis and apple half. Place the kiwis, apple and water in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour the kiwi smoothie into a sauce pan. Add the sugar, cornstarch, coconut and salt. Place it on the cooker and cook on a medium heat. Stir constantly until the jam thickened (about 10 minutes).
- Pour the jam into a jar and allow to cool down.
Hint: The kiwi jam keeps well in a closed jar in the fridge for about 1-2 weeks. Remove the kiwi jam out of the fridge 15 minutes before eating.
We wish you lots of fun with this recipe.
Tomorrow we will show you a delicious Pea Asparagus Tarte.
